The American Trail Running Association (ATRA) needed a website that could easily integrate their vast database of race events and allow race directors to submit upcoming events.
Determining how to integrate ATRA’s massive database of events into the website posed many challenges. We had to explore the process by which the event database would be updated along with the level of integration needed for this to be a seamless process. The result is an integrated system that ingests and displays the event catalogue, promotes specific events, and allows race directors to submit new events with ease.
With so many people accessing the website while commuting between events, it was important to provide a consistent visitor experience regardless of the device used to view the site. This required a responsive framework that would optimize the viewing experience across all devices (smartphone, tablets, and computers), providing ATRA with an online publishing platform that expands their reach as an organization now and into the future.
